GOLO Reviews and Complaints – A Comprehensive Analysis
Since the rise of social media influence, a lot of people have started taking good care of their body composition. There are several bad things associated with social media influence, but it has been trying to tackle the problem of obesity.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the United States believe by the year 2025, 50% of the US
population is going to be obese. Apart from that, there will be a huge number of overweight people. Some independent studies have also indicated that by the year 2025, the population of healthy body-weight Americans is going to be around 15 to 20%. Rest are going to be either obese or overweight.
The numbers are very bad, and that is why several companies and fitness influencers I’ve been trying to capture the overweight person market and make some money. There are thousands of different companies and health experts on the Internet trying to be the best in the weight loss category. GOLO is one of those competitors. Today, we will talk about its reviews and complaints.
Table of Contents
What is GOLO?
GOLO is the self-proclaimed best company to lose body weight. The company cell is a supplement named Release, which is claimed to enhance your metabolic rate and further help you burn more calories by the end of the day. As a result, you will not gain weight, or you will start losing it if you are following a calorie deficit diet.
The company also paid to work on your levels. As per the official website of GOLO, the Release supplement is going to promote weight loss by controlling your insulin levels. Apart from that, their supplement is also known to regulate hunger hormones that can help you feel less hungry.
The above-given information is posted on the official website of the company. The reality can be a little bit different, and that is why we are going to take a look at the GOLO reviews and complaints.
GOLO Reviews
Let’s start with the reviews of GOLO. We are not going to take the official website of the company as a source of reviews. No company in the world is ever going to put bad reviews on its official website, and that is why we are going to use third-party platforms such as Trustpilot, Reviewopedia, etc.
Amazon
Let’s start our review journey with one of the biggest online retail giants in the world. The company also sells its release supplement on Amazon. We don’t know how many people have exactly bought the product, but there are 149 reviews with 3.6 stars out of five.
As a thumb rule for your online purchases on Amazon, every product below a four-star average is not a good product. Another thing you should see in every Amazon review is how many people have reviewed it. For example, a product has been reviewed by two people one person gave a five-star review, and another person gave a one-star review, so on average, the product will have three-star reviews.
That is completely wrong. You must make sure that the product has been reviewed by more than 50 people, with a genuine purchase. You can also include written reviews in your study.
I just have some stomach fat that won’t go away let me say that I am a personal trainer and fitness instructor, and I was very much hoping this would help: well not only I have not lost but I gained weight. Extremely disappointing – Donatella Dillon
GOLO passes every single above-given criteria. Around 150 people have reviewed the product, and they have written their complaints and compliments in the review. We can conclude that it is not a good product as per views on Amazon.
Some people have given it five stars, and it seems to be genuine. John McCarthy wrote on Amazon that he is enjoying the supplement as he has lost around 23 pounds in the last ten weeks. That figure for weight loss is very good. Even, in reality, that number can be achieved.
Trustpilot
Trustpilot is another big name when it comes to online reviews. The problem with this pilot is that people can give their reviews without even purchasing the product. Apart from that, there is no way to find out who has bought the product or who is a fake reviewer.
On Trustpilot, GOLO has More than 470 reviews, and the average score is around 3.6 stars out of five. The story on Amazon and Trustpilot is somewhat the same. The product has been categorized in the average category, not the best. There are some good and bad reviews which we are going to discuss in the next section.
Most people who own Trustpilot are also not happy with the product, or they write fake reviews. Most five-star reviews focus on diet words more than they should, and it looks suspicious.
Yelp
Yelp and other good platforms for online reviews. There are 25 reviews on Yelp for GOLO. Even though it does not clear our eligibility criteria, those 25 reviews tell a unique story as they have categorized GOLO as a bad product.
There are just 1.5 stars out of five for GOLO on Yelp. People do not seem to be enjoying the services of GOLO. Around 20 people out of 25 have given a one-star review, and just three people have given it a five-star review, and all of those five-star reviews are like paid reviews with so many exclamation points and a focused word diet.
There are only three five-star reviews, and two of them look fake. The one review which does not look fake is from a user from Utah. We believe that the review is somewhat genuine as they only focus on writing the review, not keywords. But one five-star review out of 25 cannot justify the product at any level.
GOLO Complaints
Now let’s switch to the second part of our day’s topic, which is the complaints about GOLO. Don’t get surprised. There are tons of complaints when it comes to online reviews. You won’t find any complaints on the official website, but platforms like Trustpilot, Yelp, and Amazon are full of them.
Digestive Issues
Effectiveness or the results of a product are one thing, but overall health should be your priority. After reading all the reviews and complaints regarding GOLO on different platforms, we came up with the result that most people are complaining about having digestive issues once they start consuming the Release supplement.
Even under the official website, golo claims that their Supplement will work on your metabolism. A lot of people who are already struggling with some sort of digestive issues can experience symptoms getting worse.
Amazon, Trustpilot, and Yelp are filled with one-star reviews of people claiming that they are experiencing diarrhea, Constipation, gas, abdominal cramps, and other digestive issues once they start consuming release supplements. It is important for people who are struggling with digestive issues to consult with their healthcare provider. Not every supplement in the world is safe to consume.
Less to No Results
Another thing we noticed in all of the reviews and complaints is that people are claiming that they are not getting the results they were promised in the first place. If you look at the fake reviews on Trustpilot, Amazon, or Yelp, you will see people claiming to lose more than 20 or 50 pounds in a span of four to 8 weeks.
I wish I could give no stars because the product simply does not work. I used it as directed for almost 2 months and did not lose a pound or any inches off my waist as promised. I even started walking a few times a week & with no result. When I asked for a refund they told me I have to send back the bottle and instructions which I had disposed of when the bottle was empty and did not work. – Warren Hunter on Trustpilot
If you want this person who has a body of more than 50% and you are around 250 pounds, then you may lose 20 to 50 pounds in a short period. Even that is not going to come without any consequences. People who lose weight at a faster pace can get it back at a much faster pace.
False Claims
One thing that we have been particularly noticing about golo weight-loss pills is that the company has been making false claims in several advertisements mentioning that you do not have to follow any diet plan whatsoever.
Golo says their release will help you lose weight. When they sent it, it was full of diet and exercise information that I had already tried. I found Golo’s release not any more helpful than just doing more exercises and eating even less, which I was already doing. It was a real waste of $60.00! – B Lewis on TrustPilot
The reality is completely different from its advertisement on several social media platforms and television. As you can read in the above-given review, a person named Louis mentioned that his purchase was completely a waste of money as you will have to perform the exercise and follow a diet.
Even if you consult with any other fitness expert, they will also suggest you follow a good diet and exercise routine to lose weight.
People are also asking the same, if we have to follow a diet plan and exercise, then what is the point of these pills?
No Customer Support
Another thing that is very frustrating with golo weight loss pills is that the company does not have a responsive customer support staff. Yes, they have customer care support, but those people are not going to help you whenever you are in trouble.
I contacted Golo a couple of days ago, explaining that not only did I not lose weight, but I gained weight. They wrote me back, trying to blame me for my weight gain. Their TV advertising is very misleading, saying that one does not need to diet to lose weight. Even with their guarantees, no one offered to return the price I paid or offered to give me more product with instructions of maybe what I was doing wrong even though I followed the directions that were on the bottle. Not only did they not offer to help, but nobody got back to me for help. Not what I paid for. Very disappointing. – Gary Weitz on TrustPilot.
As we have already discussed, Golo is one of those companies who love to make false claims such as there is no need to diet or refund. A person named Gary Weitz mentioned the problem in its Trustpilot review. Every company must have a good customer care staff to help its customers.
What’s the problem with GOLO?
Before we wrap up this session, let’s take a quick look at the most problems with GOLO. These are our observations, and we can be wrong. These observations are grabbed from Trustpilot, Amazon reviews, and Yelp. It’s a free country, and you can think differently.
Over Exaggeration
One of the biggest problems we observed with GOLO is over-committing. Every person on this earth is different, and all people can not lose weight at the same pace. If a 400-pound person is losing 50 pounds in three months, it doesn’t mean that a person with just 200 pounds of body weight can lose 50 pounds in the same Period.
A lot of people on social media and paid reviews have been claiming that they lost 50 pounds in just a short period, and you should try it. That is the problem with GOLO.
Every company is allowed to advertise its product as they want. Exaggeration is not going to work under any circumstances. Yes, it is a little bit hard for a person to lose weight, especially 50, in a short period, and you should also not believe that a single supplement can help you lose that much weight.
No matter what, you will have to work hard, and you can always include a golo supplement in your diet.
If you want to join GOLO, then you should remember that you have to work hard on your diet, exercise, patience, and consistency. You cannot expect to lose Tons of body weight in just one or two days. We suggest everyone give it a try for at least three months before you decide. In those three months, do not compromise your diet or exercise any day of the journey.
No Transparency
Not having enough transparency is also one of the biggest problems of a golo diet. The company will claim on its official website that they have successfully helped thousands of people lose hundreds of pounds, but in reality, it is not that easy.
The company does not allow anyone to leave a transparent review on its official website. It can be frustrating for a huge number of people who want to raise their concerns. We highly recommend every company Improve its customer care support.
Another thing we observed at golo is that companies do not explain that you will have to follow a strict diet and workout routine to lose weight. The company has been advertising its supplement as the best supplement where you don’t require even a diet plan to lose weight.
The reality is very different, as people have been claiming in these reviews that they did not lose weight because they were not following any diet plan.
No Sustainable Goals
Anyone can help you lose 10 or 20 pounds in a week with the help of a crash diet if you are above 200 or 300 pounds. The major problem with weight loss is sustainability. People get fat over some time because of their bad lifestyle, not bad food choices.
If you are a hard-working person who will exercise regularly and you eat pizza regularly, there is no way you can ever get fat or become obese.
When you consult your obesity with a healthcare expert, they always suggest everyone focus on sustainability and lifestyle changes. If you do not work hard or do regular exercise, then you should make sure that you are not consuming any junk food regularly.
You can consume any supplement in the world, but you will get fat if you are not following an exercise routine and you are consuming bad food.
Should you opt for a Golo Diet?
No, you should not opt for a golo diet if you are not able to commit yourself 100% to the diet and exercise routine. The Golo diet or its supplement is not for people who do not take their diet and exercise very seriously.
If you are among those people who can commit themselves 100% to the diet, then you should opt for a golo diet.
One of the best things we like about the golo diet is its community support. When you first join the golo diet, they will provide you with a diet chart and community support where you can ask your questions. The community members will help you improve your lifestyle and lose the body weight you are trying to.
Apart from that, we do not see any logic in joining a golo diet. Most people are losing their money on the golo diet just because they do not understand the whole weight loss process. Weight loss can be a little bit different, but it is not impossible. Anyone can lose it without even using any supplement at all.
Is GOLO a legitimate company?
GOLO is a legitimate company. They claim to be one of the best solutions for weight loss and coming out of obesity. Companies sell their supplement named Release to improve your metabolic rate and increase energy expenditure.
